The local eagle pairs can be seen much easier now that tree leaves have fallen. Three pairs of eagles are skirmishing in the air over Bay Point Park, possibly over territory. Another group of American White Pelicans stopped over at Colvill Park before moving south. Our local Merlins continue to manage House Sparrow population. A tree near the police department is a reliable spot to see one of the Merlins. Finally, this morning we saw an American Mink running along the railroad tracks near Bay Point Park. Unfortunately, I could not get any good shots of the little guy.
