It is has rained most of the past two days. We need the moisture, so we can’t complain. More migrating birds have arrived, with Juncos and Kinglets seen recently. A new female eagle or perhaps a new eagle pair is now claiming the nest near the Mississippi River bridge. The last two years failed to raise young eagles, which may have resulted in the change. The female has dark streaks on her tail and her beak is not fully yellow yet, indicating she will turn five years old in the Spring.
