Strong gusty winds hit Red Wing for a couple days. Hundreds of waterfowl arrived at Mud Lake, across the river channel from downtown Red Wing. Many Mallards, Pintails, Wigeons, and Teals stayed for a few days. Turkey vultures migrated from south and are seen regularly now. A dark morph Rough-legged Hawk continues to hunt there, along with an American Kestrel.
The pair of Peregrine Falcons with a nest box on Red Wing Grain have not laid any eggs yet, but are expected soon. See nest cam link here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UZOwYDmBc5U
