The strong winds made it challenging for any eagles in flight today. Just a few eagles were spotted in and around Colvill Park. I saw a group of six pelicans in the bay when they took flight and landed in the far end of the bay. We are still concerned the pelicans are still here, but it is a good sign that they can fly. Many Common Mergansers too shelter in the bay to get out of the wind and choppy waves.
