About six eagles at Bay Point Park, eight around Colvill Park, lots of Mergansers

A few hundred Common Mergansers are in and around Red Wing, along the river between Bay Point Park and Colvill Park. Pelicans remain in the bay at Colvill Park. We have seen eagle activity at both Bay Point Park and Colvill Park. Yesterday, up to eight eagles were flying over the river channel at Colvill Park and catching fish. This morning, a pair of eagles were sitting together at Bay Point Park in a tree by the marina. Other eagles were catching fish at the west end of the park.
