Nearly every nest we watch around Red Wing appears to have a female laying or incubating eggs. A few other immature eagles are still hanging around and get chased away by local eagle pairs. Sandhill Cranes have arrived on their migration from the south and are doing mating rituals, like jumping around with sticks and flapping. Peregrine Falcons are back and are preparing to nest. They often chase away any eagles who enter their airspace near the nest box on the Red Wing Grain tower in downtown.
