We counted at least 36 eagles at Colvill Park in the morning and they were active multiple times during the day. More eagles were seen across the river near the Mississippi River bridge. River water is icing up and the eagles are fishing in whatever open water they can find. More waterfowl have arrived in the river and at Colvill Park, including Common Mergansers and Common Goldeneyes. Also, we saw an American Mink on the river ice near the water treatment facility.
