Eagle activity on the river: fishing and feeding babies

From our Zodiac boat we saw eagles fishing on the river upstream from Bay Point Park. An eagle belly-flopped into the river to catch a big catfish, then drag it to shore through the water. Afterwards, he flew up to a stump to dry off while his mate held onto the fish on the shore. We also found an active aerie in the backwaters with two juvenile eagles being fed by the parents.
