Bald Eagle pair in frozen trees at Bay Point Park in Red Wing

After the storm, ice, snow, eagles, and cormorants

Red Wing received about 5 inches of snow on top of rain overnight. The ice and snow coated everything. A number of Double-crested Cormorants arrived at Colvill Park and started fishing. At least 10 eagles were seen at Colvill Park and were seen catching fish and chasing each other. More eagles were perched and flying at Bay Point Park as the marina bay continues to thaw. Many Great Blue Herons are nesting at the rookery across from Bay Point Park.
