Ice chunks were floating in the river channel this morning, with the continued cold temperatures. We counted about 20 eagles around the bay at Colvill Park and more across the river and on nearby Carlson Island. We saw many eagles successfully catching fish, primarily in the river channel. Many pelicans and mergansers remain, all feeding on fish.
