Peregrine Falcons return, eagles are laying eggs

We’ve seen a number of eagles sitting in their nests to lay then incubate eggs. Incubation time is 34 to 36 days.

The pair of Peregrine Falcons have returned to the Red Wing Grain tower near Levee Park. They have been chasing eagles and hawks away from their territory. It’s interesting to watch the interactions. Local Pigeons need to be alert again!

Other birds have returned, including Great Blue Herons, Hooded Mergansers, American Robins, Red-winged Blackbirds, and Common Grackles.
