Many eagles on their nests, gusty winds bring eagles up the bluff, Great Blue Herons prepping nests

We have seen at least eight occupied eagle nests in Red Wing, and more likely with females laying eggs. Gusty winds brought eagles flying up around the bluff at Memorial Park. There were about 6 eagles the bay at Colvill Park. This week, we saw the first Turkey Vulture of the season so we have to look twice at flying birds to identify eagle or vulture. Waterfowl are starting to migrate. We have seen some Gadwalls and American Wigeons in the area.
