Eagles continue at Colvill Park with low temperature

Over 50 eagles continue to stay at Colvill Park and are very hungry! The bay is open and the river channel is mostly covered in ice sheets. Eagles catch fish in the steaming water of the bay or in patches of open water on the river channel. This afternoon, I saw multiple eagles catching small fish on the channel and just eating them on the wing. They were small enough to just eat while flying. One odd thing to see was a crow challenging an immature eagle for fish scraps on the ice. Even the crows are really hungry!
