Migrating birds coming through Red Wing

Many types of birds are migrating through Red Wing now. Hundreds of American White Pelicans were feeding in Mud Lake, across the river from Red Wing, then took flight in the morning to head south. Many groups of pelicans flew directly over us on He Mni Can/Barn Bluff as we watched. Raptors are migrating over, including American Kestrels, Broad-winged Hawks, and a Swainson’s Hawk. In the trees, we saw many warblers on the trails of He Mni Can/Barn Bluff. Local eagles stay around their nests and some are making improvements.
