A few raptors have been migrating through, including a “Gray Ghost” (Northern Harrier) and multiple Rough-legged Hawks (both light-morph and dark-morph). A large number of American White Pelicans flew over Red Wing yesterday, along with flocks of Tundra Swans heading for the Arctic. A pair of Sandhill Cranes have been spotted multiple times on Mud Lake, across river bridge from downtown Red Wing. Perhaps they intend to stay and nest there.
