Resident Bald Eagles were active the past few days, as we hiked the bluffs and cruised the river. At Florence Beach on Lake Pepin, there were many dozens of American White Pelicans feeding successfully. At Frontenac State Park, I got pictures of nine different species of migrating warblers in less than an hour. In the fall, warbler appearance can be confusing without breeding plumage (mystery warblers).
