Pelicans, Tundra Swans, and Eagles over Memorial Park

This afternoon a large group of American White Pelicans flew over Memorial Park, preceded by a group of about 20 Tundra Swans on their way north to the Arctic. Multiple adult and immature eagles flew past Memorial Park with the northwest winds creating an updraft along the bluff face. Migrating waterfowl continue in Mud Lake, across the river bridge from downtown Red Wing, including Ring-necked Ducks, Canvasbacks, Redheads, Hooded Mergansers, and American Coots.
