A cold and blustery day, but the eagles were flying

The temperature this morning was 12°F but felt like below zero with gusty winds. In those temperatures we saw the breath of an eagle who landed on his nest near the river bridge. The eagles liked the winds as we saw around 15 eagles at Colvill Park multiple times during the day with many navigating the winds to chase each other and catch fish. At Bay Point Park we saw about the same number of eagles perched and soaring. Also at Bay Point Park there were at least 25 Great Blue Herons huddled on the shore of their rookery warming themselves in the sunlight.
